Gamila Secret Cleansing Bar Review

This Cleansing Bar from Gamila Secret is possibly my favourite ever thing that has arrived in my Glossybox! It is a cute little 30g 100% natural bar that cleanses the skin whilst hydrating and encouraging the skin’s capacity for self-repair.

In my opinion there aren’t enough cleansing bars around, I think people get them a bit confused with harsh bars of soap and so steer clear of them, but they are a great, quick and easy way of washing your face. Years ago I used to wash my face in the morning with Clinique Facial Soap, and I even had a period where I would use a Dove bar if I was in a rush. I love to use a cleansing bar in the morning as it’s so easy to do and then you can rinse your face with water and there’s no need for toners etc.

To use, just run the bar under running warm water and then massage the lather into your skin, just like you would do with soap, before rinsing off. The Cleansing Bar has a gentle herby fragrance that isn’t overpowering at all.

Gamila Secret Cleansing Bar

This Cleansing Bar from Gamila Secret contains a range of natural oils (including olive, avocado and lavender) and shea butter to help nourish the skin. Developed in Galilee by Gamila Hiar, Gamila has spent nearly 40 years researching and perfecting a special blend of herbs and oils to help cleanse the skin.

This Cleansing Bar is suitable for all skin types, can be used on the face or body, and has the Gamila Secret brand logo stamped into each bar. I love this product, particularly because it contains 100% natural ingredients, and will definitely be purchasing a full size bar when this one runs out. I would recommend using it in the morning, but not at night as it isn’t too great at removing make-up.

A full size Original Cleansing Bar from Gamila Secret costs £22 and is available from House of Fraser. Other fragrances are available including lavender and rosemary.
