Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years you can’t fail to have noticed the revival that Batiste Dry Shampoo is having. Now a staple on every girl’s (and some guys’) dressing table this lifesaver product means you can revive and refresh hair without having to wash it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo works by absorbing the oil on the surface of the hair, just spray into dry hair and then style as normal – make sure you don’t apply too much though as it can leave hair looking a bit ‘talcy’. The only downside is that the spray is rather violent and loud (and scares my cats!), I would prefer a more gentle spray like you get from a hairspray can.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Close Up

There are loads of fragrances and colours to choose from, but I like the original as I love its retro turquoise and yellow spiral can and classic logo. I sometimes use it to texturise my hair too if I want to do an up-do, I find that my freshly washed hair is too soft and will fall out of an up-do, but this gives it a bit of ‘grip’ and staying power.

If you’ve never tried Batiste Dry Shampoo before and fancy giving it a go, or if you’re already a convert but just want to try it in a different fragrance or colour, then head on over to Facebook where Batiste are giving it away free… Well almost, you just need to buy a can of Batiste Dry Shampoo before 30th June and then return the cap and proof of postage to them and they will refund the cost. I think I am going to try the blonde one…. or the cherry one… I can’t decide!

Prices start at £2.99 for 200ml, available from Boots.

I’d love to hear how you use Batiste Dry Shampoo, and which version you use.
