Emite – Professional Eyelash Curler

I have to admit that I have never tended to use eyelash curlers on a regular basis as I have never really seen much benefit from them, I prefer to use mascara to define and curl my lashes. This Professional Eyelash Curler arrived in my August Glossybox and I had already read some good reviews of it, so I was looking forward to trying it out.
The curler has been designed so that it doesn’t touch your make-up base whilst you are using it, and it came with 3 spare red pads which is really great – this tool should last me a very long time. I think the design and the colours of this tool make it look really stylish too.
I do find that this Professional Eyelash Curler is easy to use, but occasionally the edges do touch my eye make-up whilst I am using it. Also, it is made of metal so it does feel very cold when it touches your skin. The red band is nice and cushiony and stays fairly clean which is great (some eyelash curlers that I have used in the past get easily covered in eye make-up and are always needing cleaning). I do use this tool BEFORE applying mascara though, if you try to curl your lashes after you have applied mascara you risk damaging your eyelashes and getting your curler caked in make-up.
Unfortunately I haven’t got any ‘before & after’ photos to show you as I find that photos of my eyelashes don’t usually come out very well. I would say that this Professional Eyelash Curler is ok, but not really any better than other brands I have tried. It has got me into the habit of curling my eyelashes a bit more often though!
The Professional Eye Lash Curler from Emite retails at around £20. I am struggling to find where they are available in the UK, but there are several currently for sale on Ebay so you may be able to grab yourself a bargain!
