Elite Serum for eyes

Most of the beauty products that I review have pretty instant effects – such as make-up – or begin to show their effects after 1-2 weeks – such as moisturisers and skin treatments. I’ve been using Elite Serum* around my eyes for 2 months now as it takes 45-60 days to start to show benefits and will show maximum benefits to the skin around the eyes following 6 months of regular application.
Elite Serum is an eye serum which aims to increase elasticity on the eyelids and below the eye within days, reduces dark circles, performs a lightening around the eyes and minimises puffiness within a few weeks plus it continues to reduce fine lines after that for up to 6 months.
Elite Serum is stored in a precision airless syringe which is really easy to use. Just remove the plastic cap and rubber tip, then unlock the syringe by twisting the end and press to dispense a dose enough for both eyes. I did find that my syringe dispensed a bit too much of the product each time I used it however, and I ended up wasting a small amount as you don’t need very much. I have been applying Elite Serum to the eye area both morning and evening since the third week of July – just squirting it onto my ring finger from the syringe then gently patting it around my eyes. I actually prefer using a serum to a cream, I sometimes feel that eye creams are quite heavy and make my eyes feel rather itchy and puffy, but this serum is really light and feels refreshing when applied.
The serum itself is a very pale golden gel and it quickly soaks into the skin. It contains pharmaceutical grade peptides, and one of the main ingredients is Haloxyl® (also known as Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7) – this peptide reduces puffiness and dark circles under the eyes by encouraging proper circulation in the eye area and reverses the build up of fluids that naturally occur at night. It also increases the lymphatic drainage by up to 85% and flushes out the eye area removing toxin-formed pigmented blood that causes dark circles to form.
The two images above show my eyes before and after using Elite Serum. At first glance there doesn’t seem to be much difference (apart from having a bit of a red nose on the ‘before’ image from sitting in the sun!) but I definitely think there has been an improvement in the skin under my eyes. I have to admit I don’t really suffer from wrinkles or puffiness around the eyes, however I did sometimes used to think that my eyes looked rather tired and the skin underneath the eyes looked quite thin which resulted in dark circles. After using Elite Serum the skin underneath my eyes looks more flesh coloured and not so thin – I think this must be as a result of the Haloxyl® which I mentioned above – and I no longer need to apply as much concealer under my eyes. In fact, after clinical tests 82% of Elite Serum users saw a reduction in dark circles.
I’m usually a bit sceptical about eye treatments as most of them claim big things but don’t really deliver. And whilst I can’t really comment on the effect of Elite Serum on wrinkles, fine lines and puffiness as I don’t suffer from these problems, it has definitely improved my under-eye dark circles and I’ll continue to use it. Elite Serum is quite expensive, but given that you only need a tiny amount each day and that it actually does reduce dark circles I think the cost is probably worth it.
My husband also seems to be sneaking into my bathroom and using my Elite Serum! I think the unisex syringe packaging appeals to men as well as women.
Elite Serum is priced at £72 for 14ml, available from Elite Serum.
