Earn cash while you shop for beauty products!

Now as this is a beauty blog I don’t usually write posts about making money, but please bear with me as this post does actually have a beauty link. Now we all like buying make-up and skincare products right? That’s why we’re beauty bloggers or readers of beauty blogs! So what if you could make money whilst you shop for your beauty products?
Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it, but actually it isn’t. Last week I joined Quidco, the UK’s No.1 cashback site.
What is a cashback site? It’s a website that you sign up for and then when you click through from the site to a specific retailer and place a normal online shopping order with that retailer you earn a percentage of cashback which is paid to the cashback site from the retailer for referring you to them. Does that make sense? I hope so!
I had heard of cashback websites before but never really paid much notice of them. I assumed that they would be a con, or that the retailers they tried to refer you to would be those that you’d never heard of, or that the process wouldn’t work smoothly. But actually Quidco is amazing, it includes all of the major retailers that everyone has heard of and the process actually works – I only signed up a week ago and I’ve already earned £29.30 in cashback!
But the best thing about Quidco is the number of online beauty retailers that are part of the scheme, these include Clarins (9%), Boots (up to 8% cashback), Look Fantastic (7% cashback, plus one-off £20 payment for a beauty box subscription), Feel Unique (5.5% cashback), Liz Earle (5% cashback), The Body Shop (4% cashback), Escentual (2.63% cashback) plus loads of others including Molton Brown, Space NK and Birchbox.
So every time you make a purchase from one of these retailers you’ll receive the appropriate amount of cashback in your Quidco account! And as beauty lovers we’re purchasing from these websites all the time, so it makes sense to sign up to Quidco and earn a bit of extra cash while we’re shopping!
There are also some stores where you can earn cashback on instore purchases too, you just need to register the credit or debit card that you usually use instore on the Quidco website and it tracks any purchases for you.
Plus there’s a whole host of fashion retailers (including ASOS, New Look, Topshop and GAP) and other high street retailers included within the scheme. You can even earn money when you take out a new insurance policy, new mobile phone contract or check your credit rating!
Here’s my pick of some of the best deals available on Quidco for non-beauty related retailers at the moment…
- Earn £105 cashback when you take out a Nutmeg ISA
- Earn up to 6% cashback for new customers at Boohoo (1% for existing customers)
- Earn £25 when you book a holiday with Jet2 Holidays
- Earn 4% cashback for new customers with Just Eat (1% for existing customers)
- Earn up to 10% cashback online at Holland & Barrett
- Earn up to £12 for new customers with Now TV
Plus once you’ve signed up to the Quidco website you can then download the handy app for your phone, so you can check on retailers and special offers while you’re out and about.
I really am very impressed with Quidco, I’ve already earned £29.30 in a week and they reckon that the average yearly cashback earning is £280… not to be sniffed at!
UPDATE – I’ve now been using Quidco for almost 2 years and I’ve earned £429 so far. It really is a no-brainer, if you shop online regularly you need to get signed up to Quidco!
I’ve also written a post about other ways to make easy extra money online every month that you might want to check out. Alternatively you might want to start up your own blog, it’s a great way to make money from advertising, affiliate marketing and sponsored posts.
