e.l.f. Tinted Moisturiser SPF15 Review

I have recently been testing out a few goodies from New York budget make-up brand e.l.f. (stands for Eyes Lips Face), and I have been fairly impressed with this little tube of tinted moisturiser. I do have to say it is a VERY little tube, just 12g! But it’s a great size for tucking inside a make-up bag or handbag and it’s great value too. It comes in a cardboard blister pack (pictured below) which I kind of like, it gives it an accessible ‘available to everyone’ kind of feel.

If you’re a regular reader of Beauty Best Friend you will know that I like to protect my face from the sun during the day and this tinted moisturiser contains SPF15 which is enough to protect your face from the average everyday sunshine.

e.l.f. Tinted Moisturiser SPF15

e.l.f. Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 is available in a choice of 7 shades, I chose ‘Rosy Beige’ which is a tanned beige colour with a hint of rosy pink. It does have quite an orangey tan to it as you can see from the image below, so Rosy Beige would not be suitable for really pale skins. There is an Ivory shade and a Light Beige available for pale skins though, aswell as 4 darker shades.

e.l.f. Tinted Moisturiser SPF15 On Finger

The Tinted Moisturiser applies nicely to the face, I use my fingers as I find I get the best coverage that way. It’s nice and creamy and has a slightly sweet fragrance that reminds me a bit of fruit jelly which is a bit strange! You can wear the Tinted Moisturiser on its own for a dewy look or set with powder for a more matt finish.

e.l.f. say that this Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 ‘hydrates, softens and smoothes skin’ and I wouldn’t disagree. It’s a good product to say it comes from a budget brand.

e.l.f. Tinted Moisturiser SPF15 Swatch

The images above show the Tinted Moisturiser in Rosy Beige swatched on my arm, applied quite thickly in the left image and then blended in the right image. The insides of my arms are paler than my face so it does look a bit orangey, but looks much more natural on my face.

This little (and I do mean little!) product is really good and is great value at just £1.50. True, you don’t get a lot for your money but at that price you can afford to stock up and buy a few at once and keep one in every bag! And at least you know you are always using a fresh product, not like having a huge great bottle of product that is months old and harbouring germs.

The only downside to this product is that it contains 3 different types of parabens, I would really like to see e.l.f. reformulate this Tinted Moisturiser and remove the parabens.

Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 is priced at £1.50 for 12g and is available from eyes lips face.
