Collection – Work The Colour Solo Eyeshadow in Rosy Gold

I picked up this Work The Colour Solo Eyeshadow from my local supermarket when I was doing my weekly shop as I thought it looked a lovely natural shimmery colour. I wasn’t able to swatch it in the store to check the colour on my skin, but at £2.19 you can afford to buy without trying.
Collection (formally Collection 2000) are a budget make-up brand available in supermarkets and Superdrug. I previously tested out their Work The Colour Trio Eyeshadow in Poison Ivy and was impressed with the quality given that it cost so little money (you can read that review here).
The eyeshadow is a nice soft powder with a creamy texture, extremely easy to apply with a brush or a sponge applicator. Rosy Gold is a pale shimmery peachy colour but in certain lights it has a golden glow.
I haven’t had chance to take a photo of this eyeshadow actually being worn, but you can see the lovely shimmer you get from Rosy Gold on the swatch image below. I have been wearing this colour as a wash all over the eye area and right up to the brow, before applying other darker colours to the eyelid. You could also use a tiny dab of Rosy Gold as a highlighter to highlight cheekbones, collar bones or anywhere else you want a touch of shimmer – just dab a tiny amount of the shadow with your finger and blend carefully.
I have found that this Work The Colour Solo Eyeshadow does crease a little bit in the eye socket but only after it has been on the skin for a good few hours. Overall I would suggest that this is a great budget eyeshadow.
Work The Colour Solo Eyeshadow from Collection is available in 20 different shades, although not all of them are always available in all stores. They are priced at just £2.19 each available from Boots.
