Claire’s – Synthetic Clip-On Hair Extensions

A few weeks ago I was thinking about doing something drastically different with my hair as I was getting fed up with my shoulder length blonde hair, wishing I had never had it cut shorter last April and just fancying a real change colourwise. After several minutes (or perhaps that should be hours….) checking out different styles and colours on Pinterest I came to the conclusion that pink is the way to go… pink is the future!
Anyway, having had several home-colouring nightmares when I was a teenager I didn’t want to rush into doing something myself and decided that I would try out something temporary whilst I was waiting for my next hair appointment to come around. So I noticed these Synthetic Clip-On Hair Extensions in Claire’s and thought I would try them out, and I’m very glad I did!
Synthetic Clip-On Hair Extensions come in a pack of two and they are really easy to use. I love the fact that you can put them in and then take them out again really easily and quickly.
Below I have attempted to take step-by-step photos to show how to apply the extensions (apologies for the quality of the photos, it was a gloomy day so I had to have the bedroom light on!).
1. First of all, separate a layer of hair to one side of your parting using a long clip, this will be the hair that covers over the clip section of the extensions.
2. Then flip this section of hair over to the other side of your parting (still in the long clip) so that your hands will be free to perform the next step. Apply the Clip-On Extension near to the top of your hair – open the clip by bending it, then slide it into the roots of your hair and wiggle it a little bit so that the teeth of the clip get firmly engaged in your hair. Then gently press to close the clip and secure the extension. Repeat with any other extensions.
3. Flip the section of hair back over to its usual side and remove the long clip. This section of hair will cover over the clip sections of the extensions so that you can’t see where they are attached.
Then just gently comb through your hair being careful not to pull the extensions. Arrange it so that the coloured extensions show through your own hair. And voila…
Again, this isn’t a very good quality photo but you get the idea.
You can wear just one or two coloured extensions in your hair, or really go to town and wear them through your whole head.
The photo above shows the clip section of the Clip-On Hair Extensions. The little ‘teeth’ help grip the clip to your hair, so that they feel secure all day.
I love my pink extensions and have had some great comments on them. They are great value too, and perfect for parties – why not invest in some for Halloween?
Claire’s Synthetic Clip-On Hair Extensions come in a range of colours and are great value at just £5 per pack of two, available from Claire’s.
