Chanel – Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Noir Cendre

I agree that eyebrow pencils aren’t really a very exciting product, but an essential one nonetheless. Chanel’s Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil is a really great product – it has the pencil at one end and a brush at the other end, both covered with a cap. I have been using Noir Cendre which translates from French as ‘black ash’ and it’s a good description of the colour.
Although I have fair hair I do like to use a black eyebrow pencil, this useful Chanel pencil has a light powdery texture and it requires a lot of light feathery strokes to gradually build up the colour so it’s really easy to get a natural result – there’s nothing worse than thick black ‘drawn-on’ eyebrows. My only complaint that it is rather long and won’t fit in my makeup bag, I have had to sharpen the pencil end to make it a bit shorter!
I do like cosmetics that double up and provide more than one function, and Chanel’s Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil is one of those products. The mascara-style spiral brush at one end can be used to tidy up your brows before defining them with the pencil, and can also be used after applying the colour to brush through the brows and ensure the colour is evenly distributed.
Chanel Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Noir Cendre is priced at £19 and is available from Debenhams. The pencil also comes in 3 other colours (blonde and 2 shades of brown).
