Caudalie – Divine Oil

Caudalie Divine Oil Review

This Divine Oil from Caudalie was inside my May Glossybox. I’ve never tried any Caudalie products before, but as this multi-tasking oil can be used on body, face, hair and hands I was looking forward to trying it out.

Divine Oil is one of Caudalie’s bestselling skincare products and is created using a blend of plant oils – grape, hibiscus, sesame and argan. Caudalie are against animal testing and their products contain no parabens, phthalates, SLS, etc, and use a number of natural plant ingredients. The first thing that you notice when opening the bottle is the strong spicy, woody scent. It is quite manly and reminds me a bit of Christmas – it is not my favourite scent but it’s not unpleasant.

This is a real multi-tasking product, it can be used as a moisturising body or face oil, to smooth the ends of the hair, as a massage oil or even as a cuticle oil. Personally I find it a bit too scented for use on my face, but I have been using it as a body and massage oil and on my cuticles too. It is a dry oil and doesn’t leave skin too slimy and oily afterwards, and my nails have been feeling strong since using it on my cuticles.

I love Caudalie’s values and would definitely like to try out some more of their products, but I’m not sure I would buy Divine Oil again as I am a bit put off by the strong spicy scent (I prefer fresh and fruity scents). I do like multi-tasking products though, and this definitely multi-tasks – it can be classed as hand & nail care, haircare, bodycare and skincare! If you like woody and spicy scents and are looking for a good multi-tasking oil, or massage oil, then this could be for you.

Divine Oil starts at £18 for 50ml and is available from Caudalie.
