Botanicals – Cleansing Melt

Botanicals Cleansing Melt Review

I recently reviewed Nourishing Face Balm from Botanicals and it was one of my favourite natural moisturising products that I’d tried this year. I have since been asked to try out Cleansing Melt from the same Rose & Camellia range, and I’ve been using it for the past week.

Cleansing Melt is a natural daily cleansing balm which dissolves make up, lifts impurities and leaves the skin feeling nourished, soft and hydrated. It contains 89% organic ingredients which I just love – we should all know exactly what we’re putting on our skin.

Botanicals Cleansing Melt

Botanicals’ Cleansing Melt is really similar in smell and texture to their Nourishing Face Balm, it’s rich and thick and smells lovely and floral, the scent of the rose really comes through.

To use just melt a pea-sized blob in your hands then massage it gently all over the face, before removing with a warm damp facecloth. It does feel quite thick and cloying while the product is on the skin, but it instantly melts all make-up including mascara and eyeliner and means you don’t need to use a separate eye make-up remover. You need to make sure your facecloth is quite warm though in order to melt through the greasy balm and remove it – if you use cold water it will just move the product around and not remove it from your face.

Botanicals Cleansing Melt 2

Nourishing Face Balm is suitable for all skin types but it’s particularly suitable for dry and mature skins. I have combination skin and I don’t find it too rich at all particularly in this cold weather we’re having here in the UK at the moment.

Botanicals say “Applying an oil-based product to the skin will dissolve make up, dead skin cells and other impurities – whilst retaining the skin’s natural balance.”

Nourishing Cleansing Melt is priced at £19.95 for 55g, available from Botanicals.

  1. This sounds good – does it make your face feel oily though?

    • Not once you’ve removed it, no. It just leaves it feeling really supple and soft. xx

  2. I’ve been using their Mandarin & Chamomile one & really like it! Their Christmas offer is fab too 🙂
