Bobbi Brown – Bronzer & Bronzer Brush

Bobbi Brown Bronzer is a product I wear all the time – you can see from my photos that the compact is well used! I originally purchased this when I visited the Bobbi Brown counter in Selfridges at The Trafford Centre, Manchester, to buy a different product. The assistant gave me a mini-makeover and applied this Bronzer to my cheeks and I was instantly converted, buying both the Bronzer and the Bronzer Brush.
I went for the lightest shade, Golden Light. It is a really subtle matt colour with no shimmer that gives a natural sun-kissed look and isn’t orange at all.
Use the Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush to apply a thin dusting of the Bronzer all over the face, then gradually build up the colour on the cheekbones, bridge of the nose and forehead – the areas where you naturally catch the sun. I wear this all year round, but particularly in the Summer (I always wear a moisturiser that contains SPF so when I have a tan I use Bobbi Brown’s Bronzer to bring my pale face up to the same colour as the rest of me!).
Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush is so soft it just glides over the skin and the rounded head gives an even application of the bronzing powder. At £37.50 it’s not cheap though, in fact it costs way more than the Bronzer itself, but think of it as a life investment – it’s great quality and will last for years. I think Bobbi Brown products must have increased in price over the past couple of years as I’m sure I didn’t pay as much as £37.50 for my Bronzer Brush.
You can see from the below swatch image that the Bronzer colour is very subtle, you can hardly see it in the photo and can just make out a darker band across my arm. That shows how natural the colour is, and you can allow the bronze colour to build up gradually without ending up looking too orange.
I am a big fan of Bobbi Brown make-up and I think their black packaging looks so premium and classy. The Bronzer compact is nice and sturdy with a nice big mirror, although the catch on mine has broken so it won’t shut properly now (I’ve had this problem with other Bobbi Brown palettes too).
Bobbi Brown Bronzer is available in 5 shades and is priced at £27. Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush is priced at £37.50. Both items are available from Bobbi Brown.
