The Bobbi Brown Blush that suits everyone

This Bobbi Brown pressed powder Blush in the shade Slopes was given to me by a friend who had bought it and then decided it wasn’t the right shade for her. I’ve been a huge Bobbi Brown make-up fan for a long time, I love the sleek black packaging and all of the products that I’ve tried have been of a really high quality.

Bobbi Brown Blush is available in 17 shades, all of which are really wearable shades in pinks, reds and browns. The whole ethos of Bobbi Brown make-up is to enhance your natural beauty and to create a fairly natural look, so nothing in the collection is too out-there or bright.

Bobbi Brown Blush in Slopes

Slopes is a lovely natural dusky rose pink colour that gives a natural flush to the cheeks. The Bobbi Brown make-up philosophy is all around enhancing what you already have and bringing out your natural beauty, and this pressed powder blush does that perfectly. The colour is quite subtle and you will need to build it up gradually with a few sweeps if you want a bolder blush colour, but I think Bobbi Brown Blush in Slopes is perfect for a pale complexion like mine and also a great shade for a darker complexion but you would just need to apply more. This shade of blush literally suits everyone!

Bobbi Brown Blush in Slopes With Brush

I always use the Bobbi Brown Face Blender Brush to apply my blush, it’s so gentle and applies just the right amount to my cheeks. I regularly use Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks and pressed Bronzing Powder too and I now have quite a collection of amazingly soft Bobbi Brown face brushes! Although Bobbi Brown brush prices aren’t cheap they are such great quality, they really soft and never scratchy. If you do want to invest then a great way to do it is by treating yourself to one of Bobbi Brown’s limited edition brush collections, like this Classic Brush Collection priced at £150 for 6 brushes (pictured below) as you’ll save money in the long run rather than by buying each brush separately.

The swatch image below shows that Slopes is a lovely natural blush colour, perfect for a natural ‘no make-up’ look. It’s a matt colour with no shimmer – if you want shimmer leave that to Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks! As the colour is quite subtle it’s really easy to build up too, there’s little risk of applying too much and ending up with bright pink cheeks!

Bobbi Brown Blush in Slopes Swatch

Bobbi Brown Blush is available in 17 different shades, which range from Desert Pink (the palest pink) to New Poppy (a deep red perfect for darker skins). A lot of the colours are suitable for multiple skintones (just like Slopes), the browns and bronzes are all very understated and not orangey at all, and the red aren’t too bright either.

Bobbi Brown Blush in Slopes in priced at £19.50, available from the Bobbi Brown website. The Bobbi Brown Face Blender Brush is priced at £33, also available from the Bobbi Brown website.

  1. This looks like a lovely natural-looking blush/ bronzer, which I’m always on the look out for. I’m not a fan of OTT and bright blush shades as it’s never been a product I’ve become so accustomed too. Would probably look perfect on pale skin too!

  2. Such a pretty, versatile shade! Nice pick 🙂

  3. I love this colour! It looks such a lovely deep shade of pink and really subtle for a summer glow.

  4. I am a big fan of Bobbi Brown blushes too. This shade is so pretty, it looks so subtle and flattering! One of my favourites is Brown Berry, it’s also fairly neutral and very wearable. I know what you mean about the brushes though – I have quite a few, and I do love them, but it’s a shame they keep hiking the prices! x
