Blue Glitter Accent Nail

You may have seen my post last week about my Barry M Nail Paint haul….. well here is the first look I have created using the Aqua Glitter nail paint.
It is a simple accent nail look, using 2 coats of Chanel Nail Colour in Blue Boy on all nails, and then 2 coats of the sparkly Barry M paint on the ring finger to create an eye-catching accent nail. I then finished off the look with a coat of clear top coat on all nails to give a nice shiny finish and to help seal in the glitter on the accent nail.
These two colours work really well together. I have found that the Barry M Aqua Glitter works best over another colour as the glitter coverage is rather thin on its own and it requires at least 3 good coats to give a nice even glitter coverage. Here it is on my toes after 3 coats, I think it looks OK but if I’m using a glitter polish I do like a really nice thick coverage of glitter:
UPDATE 31st Jan 2018 – The Aqua shade of Barry M Glitter Nail Paint is no longer available, but a great alternative is this Blue Sparkle Nail Polish at just £3 from Claire’s Accessories. Chanel Nail Colour in Blue Boy is no longer available either, however this Essie Nail Polish in Udon Know Me is a really similar shade and much cheaper too at just £7.88.
What is your favourite glitter nail polish?
