BioBees Fresh Royal Jelly Elixir Review

I was recently asked to review Fresh Royal Jelly Elixir* from BioBees, an all natural healthcare supplement containing Fresh Royal Jelly combined with a unique blend of fresh herbs including Korean Ginseng Extract, Guarana and Sarsaparilla. The aim of Fresh Royal Jelly Elixir is to help to maintain health, vitality, energy, youth and performance.

BioBees Fresh Royal Jelly Elixir Ingredients

Fresh Royal Jelly Elixir comes really nicely packaged in a box containing ten 12ml vials of the supplement, and you are supposed to drink one vial each morning before breakfast.

So what is Royal Jelly? Royal Jelly is a secretion made by honey bees that they use to provide nutrition for growing bee larvae and adult queen bees and fresh Royal Jelly is believed to increase ones overall sense of well-being. Once I had found out what Royal Jelly was I was a little bit put off by the product, was I really sure that I wanted to drink a secretion made by bees? Plus, at this point I also need to mention that I really do not like honey, particularly the smell of it puts me off, so I was rather nervous that the Fresh Royal Jelly Elixir would taste of honey. But, in the name of science (and beauty blogging) I gave it a go…

The first thing I noticed about the elixir was the smell… it does have a very strong smell but certainly not of honey. It smells quite spicy and warm, this is probably the smell of the ginger and liquorice coming through. The taste is very sweet and sugary, I wouldn’t say it tastes particularly of honey but it is extremely sweet. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste as I had built up in my mind that it was going to taste quite unpleasant, although it’s probably not the sort of thing that I would drink for pleasure.

I have now been taking the supplement for 8 days and have 2 days left on the course of 10. I’m not really sure if I feel any more energetic and revitalised than normal, I do feel good and healthy at the moment but I suspect that is probably down to the fact that I have been eating really healthily throughout the whole of January and trying to go for lots of walks to get fresh air.

I think it’s definitely worth giving this health supplement a go though if you are feeling a bit run down and tired, particularly as it is made up natural ingredients (and as long as you don’t mind drinking a bee’s secretion!). Fresh Royal Jelly Elixir is gluten, dairy and nut free too so can be enjoyed by most people.

Fresh Royal Jelly Elixir is priced at £23.54 for 10 vials, from Bioceuticals.
