Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in A Lister Review

I bought this Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss on a bit of a whim at duty free last month, when I was travelling to Amsterdam. I always like to treat myself to a new lipstick whenever I travel on a plane, and as Leeds Bradford Airport is slightly limited in its choice of duty free make-up I quickly decided to go with this offering from Benefit.

Ultra Plush Lip Glosses are quite a new product from Benefit and they’re available in 6 different sugary sweet shop shades, I chose A-Lister, a shimmery peach shade as I thought it would look great layered over a nude or a pink lipstick.

It’s quite a gloopy, thick lip gloss, and it has a strong, sweet flavour/scent that is just like fruity ice cream!

I love the art deco inspired cardboard packaging and the decadent moulded plastic lid, a lot of thought has gone into the Ultra Plush Lip Gloss packaging and it really stands out from other lip glosses. The little green ribbon tying the top of the packet is a nice finishing touch, and it makes this product feel quite special, it would make a lovely gift.

I’ve been wearing this A-Lister Lip Gloss quite a bit recently as it’s so versatile. It does indeed look great worn over a nude or a pink lipstick, and also looks great worn on its own giving the lips a natural sheen and shimmer. You do need to be careful not to apply too much at once though, as it can gather in little puddles on the lips and look a bit gloopy, but applied well it’s simply lovely.

Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in A-Lister is priced at £14.50 for 15ml, available from Benefit. Be sure to sign up for Benefit’s e-newsletter while you’re there too, as they often send out special offers and discounts.
