Barry M – Textured Glitter Nail Paint in Princess

I recently reviewed Barry M Textured Glitter Nail Paint in Majesty (you can read that review here) and I loved it so much that I then went out and bought it in 2 more shades!
I absolutely adore a good glitter nail polish, and I rate them on how dense the glitter is. Some glittery polishes look amazing in the bottle, but then when you paint them onto the nails they look sad and washed out, and you need at least 4 coats to get a good glittery coverage… not so with Textured Glitter Nail Paints from nail polish gurus Barry M! After just one coat the nail is covered with glitter and it’s so sparkly.
Princess is a lovely pale pink colour with a gold shimmer and silver glitter. I don’t think the colour is as vivid as the gold Majesty colour, but it’s really pretty and ladylike. The image above shows how it looks after just 2 coats.
The silver glitter particles are very small and densely packed into the textured pinky gold coloured varnish (the varnish is almost 2-tone), and the polish gives a rough textured feel when it has dried on the nails. It’s not an unpleasant texture, it feels a bit like mild sandpaper, but you could add a couple of coats of clear top coat if you prefer a smooth shiny finish.
There are 5 colours available in Barry M’s Textured Glitter Nail Paint range (and I will also be reviewing the white Lady shade soon).
I have been wearing Princess for a week and I do have quite a few chips on the tips of my nails, but I have been doing quite a bit of housework and have also washed up a couple of times without rubber gloves, so I would say overall that is a fairly hardwearing nail varnish. Textured Glitter Nail Paint does seem to remove fairly easily for a glitter polish, as long as you use a good strong nail varnish remover that contains acetone.
UPDATE 04/03/2016 – this nail paint is no longer available, so why not check out the huge range of special effects nail paints at Barry M to find another favourite?
