Barry M – Pink Glitter Tip Nail Art

Welcome to another nail art post! I created this look using two of my favourite Barry M nail paints – ‘Lychee’ which is part of the Gelly effects collection and the very sparkly ‘Magenta Glitter’. Lychee is a perfect nude colour to use as a base for nail art, allowing other colours and glitters to stand out over the top of it. If you want to see what Lychee looks like on its own, have a look here. Magenta Glitter is a very intense fuchsia pink colour, that contains mainly fine flecks of glitter but does have a few larger blobs of glitter in too.
First I painted 2 thick coats of the Lychee Gelly nail paint over my nails and left to dry. Then I painted a thin coat of Magenta Glitter over the top to about halfway down each nail. After this coat had dried I painted another coat of the glitter nail paint, this time only about one third of the way down each nail, this way it gives a gentle graded effect to the glitter. I finished with a clear top coat which stops the glitter feeling rough, and gives a lovely sheen.
This sparkly nail art look is subtle and glamorous and perfect for Summer. The only problem is that as the tips of the nails are covered in 5 coats of polish (2 Lychee, 2 Magenta Glitter and 1 clear top coat) they are prone to chipping, so don’t create this nail art look too far in advance of the occasion otherwise you may get chips.
Barry M Lychee is part of their Gelly Effects Nail Paint range, and can be purchased direct from Barry M for £3.99. Magenta Glitter is part of Barry M’s Glitter Nail Paint range, and is priced at just £2.99 from Barry M. I love Barry M’s wide range of nail paints and they are such good value, look out for more Barry M reviews coming soon!
