What’s new from The Body Shop this Valentines Day?

Whats New From The Body Shop in 2017 Review

You may have seen that a couple of weeks ago I featured the brand new Bowhanti perfume from The Body Shop® as my Perfume of The Day. Well today I’ve got a whole host of more brand news products from The Body Shop® to show you, and I think you’ll be impressed!

First up is the new Almond Milk & Honey bodycare collection, newly released on Valentines Day! With almond milk from Spain and Community Trade honey from Ethiopia, this range is perfect if you suffer from sensitive or dry skin. Almond oil helps to nourish whilst honey soothes, and they both smell fantastic too!

I’ve been trying out four different products from the range:

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Lotion and Milk 3

Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Caring Shower Cream is perfect for sensitive skin, it’s really light and much thinner and runnier than a shower gel. It has a texture similar to that of pouring cream, and it smells divine (in fact all these products smell amazing!). The scent is warm and comforting like a rich desert! Personally I’m not keen on the smell of honey but only the sweetness of the honey comes through in these products, the leading notes of the fragrance are the almond milk and a sort of vanilla-y warmness.

The main thing that I like is that this Shower Cream is free from sodium laureth sulphate (SLS) which irritates my skin no end, and it also respects the skin’s natural pH. It froths fairly well whilst still being gentle, and I also like that the bottle is a bit different to those of other regular shower gel products. Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Caring Shower Cream starts from £2 for 60ml, from The Body Shop®.

Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Lotion is a light body moisturiser that helps nourish skin for up to 48 hours. It absorbs quickly into the skin and my arms and legs look really radiant after using it – I don’t think it has any shimmer in it, I think it’s just because my skin is so saturated with moisture that it almost glistens. I do like this product, but I much prefer the Body Butter (reviewed below) as I’m a bit of a Body Butter addict! Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Lotion is priced at £8.50 for 200ml, from The Body Shop®.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Scrub And Body Butter

Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Butter is another fantastic addition to The Body Shop® family of Body Butters. You’ve got to have been living on the moon not to have heard of or tried these rich, nourishing moisturising products! This one has to be one of my favourites too, the yummy sweet fragrance is just luscious and I love to smother myself in it after a relaxing bath. The scent lasts for quite a long time too, it’s such a treat for the skin. Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Butter starts at £6 for 50ml, from The Body Shop®.

Almond Milk & Honey Gently Exfoliating Cream Scrub is creamy and comforting, it’s quite different to a lot of the other body scrubs from The Body Shop® which are usually translucent and sugary in texture. This one is a medium thick creamy lotion with little brown scrubby bits in, and it has the same sweet fragrance as the other products in the range. Almond Milk & Honey Gently Exfoliating Cream Scrub is priced at £15 for 250ml, from The Body Shop®.

The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Liquid Peel 4

Drops Of Youth is a skincare collection that was released by The Body Shop® a few months ago, it aims to help keep skin looking young. Brand new to the range is Youth Liquid Peel which exfoliates and gently lifts off impurities from your skin. It has a gel-to-peel formulation, you massage the cooling gel into the face and after a couple of minutes it turns into a milky liquid with little white lumps in which removes dead skin, dirt and impurities.

I’m not keen on the smell of this product, I think it smells a bit too much of alcohol, and I also found that the little white lumps got attached to the downy hair below my jawline (is it just me that has a hairy face!?) so it’s best kept away from your neck, jawline and hairline. It did make my skin feel nice and smooth though, and it got rid of a dry patch that I had on my nose, but personally I prefer something that feels a little bit more natural.

It’s worth trying out some of the other products from the Drops Of Youth collection too, particularly the Bouncy Sleeping Mask which has a texture that I just find mindblowing!!

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Products

I’d really recommend the Almond Milk & Honey collection, particularly if you already love The Body Shop® sweet scents like coconut and shea butter. It’s not recommended if you’re vegan though, because of the honey, but the collection is suitable for vegetarians. There is also a Cleansing Bar in the range which costs just £4 so if you’re not sure you’ll like the fragrance why not try that first?

Why not be one of the first to try out the Almond Milk & Honey collection from The Body Shop®? It’s brand new for Valentine’s Day 2017.
