Temple Spa Double Truffle Review

With Valentines Day just around the corner Temple Spa are having a ‘loved up month’ and have launched this exclusive product for one month only! This special pot contains two of Temple Spa’s bestselling moisturisers – Skin Truffle and Truffle Noir – and it’s called Double Truffle.

UPDATE – this product is no longer available in the double pot, but both Skin Truffle and Truffle Noir are available separately, so read on to find out more about them!!

Temple Spa Double Truffle Close Up

In the image above the silver grey cream on the left is Truffle Noir and the beige cream on the right is Skin Truffle.

Skin Truffle is an award-winning moisturiser with some seriously impressive ingredients – including diamond powder, silk, grape seed champagne and black truffle! The cream aims to revive dull and tired skin, prevent ageing and regulate moisture levels whilst adding radiance. I’ve only been using it for a few days but I’ve definitely noticed the radiance which occurs as soon as I apply it to my skin, it makes my skin look really bright and clear. It has a gentle cucumber-y fragrance which is pleasant and a rich creamy texture. I actually find it a bit rich for parts of my combination skin though, particularly my oily chin and nose, and have had a few small spots since I started using Skin Truffle. But it hydrates my dry forehead and cheeks really well, and going forward I think I’ll use it a couple of times a week as a skin treatment after a mask rather than every morning.

Truffle Noir is a night time facial rejuvenating moisturiser that aims to restore and renew tired skin while you sleep. It has more of a matt finish than the daytime version and Temple Spa suggest that it’s great as a daytime moisturiser for men who don’t want the radiance that Skin Truffle offers. I really like Truffle Noir, the silvery coloured cream feels quite luxurious and it turns clear after warming it on your fingers for a few seconds before applying. As with Skin Truffle it’s quite creamy and rich, perfect as an occasional treat rather than for use every night – Temple Spa suggest using it the night before a special occasion for skin that feels like ‘pure cashmere’. My skin does feel soft and moisturised the morning after using it

Temple Spa Double Truffle Box 2

The box dubs Double Truffle a ’24-Hour Luxury Skin Investment’ and with just 25ml of each product in the pot, priced at £85, it certainly isn’t a product to be purchased on a whim. However if you use each of these truffley creams as an occasional treatment, rather than every day, then they should last you quite a while.

Temple Spa Double Truffle

Temple Spa Double Truffle comes with a little plastic spatula too so you don’t need to stick your fingers in the pot. I always admire the attention to detail that Temple Spa pays to its products and packaging.

Temple Spa Double Truffle Booklet

I’d forgotten how much I like Temple Spa products and offers! If you don’t feel like splashing out yourself then why not ask for it as a Valentines Day or Mothers Day gift? You’d better be quick though, it’s only available in February 2016!

UPDATE – this product is no longer available in the double pot, but both Skin Truffle and Truffle Noir are available separately.

Skin Truffle is priced at £85 for 50ml, available from the Temple Spa website or your local consultant.
