Bourjois – Cream Blush in Nude Velvet

Bourjois – Cream Blush in Nude Velvet

I’ve had this Cream Blush from Bourjois in my list of products to review for absolutely ages, but just never got round to it. I think it’s because I tend to shy away from cream products, preferring powder options as I find them easier to apply. Anyway, I thought it was about time I bit the bullet and got my review written up… The Cream Blush comes in one of Bourjois’ iconic ‘Little Round Pots’ which are instantly distinguishable. There’s a mirror inside the lid too which is small but does the job. Bourjois Cream Blush is available in six shades, I’ve been testing out Nude Velvet (shade 01) which is a peachy shade perfect for paler skintones. The texture of the Cream Blush is a cream-to-powder formula, it feels creamy in the pot but once you apply it to your skin it feels much drier, almost like a powder consistency. Ciate – Paint Pots in Pocket Money

Ciate – Paint Pots in Pocket Money

How stunning do Ciate Paint Pots look with their unique bottle shape and little black bow?! This is Pocket Money, and it’s the first Ciate nail polish that I ever purchased. Ciate (pronounced ‘See-are-tey’) is a London brand and they’re always bringing out innovative new nail products including their recent Shell Manicure whereby you sprinkle a layer of shimmery crushed shells directly onto a layer of wet nail polish. Check out the Ciate website to view their full range of nail polishes and special effects. Pocket Money is a creamy caramel colour with quite a glossy finish – very chic, it’s one of my favourites and I always receive nice comments when I’m wearing it. The brush is made up of 250 bristles and is flat and wide which means that it takes less strokes to apply the polish across the whole nail and makes it quicker and easier to get a neat finish. As I’ve already mentioned I love Ciate’s packaging, the uniquely shaped bottles are set off...

Glossybox – July 2013

Glossybox – July 2013

Here it is! My July Glossybox! The theme of this one is Seaside Splash, and they are all products suitable for a seaside getaway. I’m not too keen on the turquoise and orange seaside-themed box, it’s not as pretty as the usual Glossyboxes, but there is a good selection of products inside – albeit small ones! Here is what I got in my July Glossybox… My first and favourite product is a full-size Ciate Paint Pots nail varnish in a lovely nude pinky-beige colour called Pocket Money which retails at around £9. I’ve never tried Ciate products before although I have been reading a lot about them recently, and I just love the little bow on the front which makes this bottle stand out from other nail paints. Looks like it would make a perfect base colour for nail art too! The second product is a full-size 100ml Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz from Anatomicals which retails at £6. I’ve never tried a face spritz before but it’s definitely the...
