At first I wasn’t sure what Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield* was – I assumed that as it has SPF30 it was some kind of moisturiser, or perhaps some kind of BB Cream. To be honest even after using it for over a week I’m still not sure how I’d describe it! Murad say it’s a ‘5 in 1 multi-benefit formula‘, I’d suggest it’s a moisturising priming treatment with sunscreen! Invisiblur Perfecting Shield was a gold winner of Best New Premium Skincare Product at the 2015 Pure Beauty Magazine Awards and has also been recommended by Woman & Home magazine. The product itself is a clear gel that’s super silky smooth. The long list of ingredients include lots of natural ones such as Barley, Sunflower and Cucumber Extracts, but there are also some not so natural looking ones too. Clarins – Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base

Regular readers of Beauty Best Friend will know that Clarins is one of my favourite brands for both skincare and make-up, and today I am reviewing their new Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base*. The Clarins Instant Light range is one aimed at adding radiance to the skin and perfecting the skintone, and this eye base is enriched with oat sugar extracts which help to smooth, brighten and give radiance to eyelids while improving eyeshadow hold. The product itself, which comes in one shade, is a bit like a thick creamy foundation in consistency and is a pale tan shade. I have been applying it to my eyelids using the pad of my ring finger and gently dotting it on to make sure it’s smoothly applied – you only need a tiny amount and it quickly dries with a matt finish.
