Elemis – Quiet Mind Temple Balm

Quiet Mind Temple Balm is part of Elemis’ new Sp@ Home collection, I’ve already reviewed the Treat Your Feet Foot Cream from that range. This was given to me at Christmas from a good friend who knows that I often have trouble getting off to sleep and this product aims to help promote harmony, tranquillity and relaxation via a blend of natural essential oils. It’s not really a balm at all, more of a clear serum, and the first thing I noticed is that the fragrance is extremely strong. However the initial overpowering scent soon calms down to leave a gentle, soothing fragrance. It also has a slight menthol touch to it which feels cooling on the skin. Badger – Cheerful Mind Balm

Badger – Cheerful Mind Balm

I recently reviewed Sleep Balm from US natural aromatherapy brand Badger (you can read that review here). I really loved the product and my review got so many mentions and comments that I decided to try out another of Badger’s portable aromatherapy products – Cheerful Mind Balm. This cute little tin contains a soft balm with a blend of essential oils that helps you to dispel that “cloudy day mood”. The two main ingredients are Sweet Orange and Spearmint oils, and all the ingredients are certified organic. You can rub Badger Cheerful Mind Balm on your hands, temples, wrists or anywhere that needs soothing. The scent of the balm is lovely and orangey, but it doesn’t smell too sweet. I think that it has a spicey undertone to the fragrance, one of the ingredients is Cinnamon so it could be this that is coming through.
