KOREAN BEAUTY Forencos – Lips In Love

KOREAN BEAUTY Forencos – Lips In Love

I am currently taking part in an initiative working with BNT News International, a global beauty/fashion/lifestyle and entertainment source based in Seoul, South Korea. I am helping BNT to promote a selection of new and exciting Korean beauty products to a UK audience, these are products that you probably won’t have seen before and some of them are really different and unique. My first Korean beauty post went live yesterday when I reviewed Hot Girl Lash coloured mascara from Too Cool For School. The product that I am reviewing today is Lips In Love lip paint from Forencos. It comes in several bright colours and I have been testing out the bright crimson red shade (04) called Lol Lol Lol. I thought it was going to be like a lip gloss when I first tried it, but it’s not, it’s more like a liquid paint consistency that you apply with the soft applicator which is really tickly! The paint feels a bit tingly at first but dries on the lips...

I ♡ Makeup – Goddess Of Love

I ♡ Makeup – Goddess Of Love

If you’ve not heard of I ♡ Makeup before it’s the little sister of budget brand Makeup Revolution, and it’s just as reasonably priced. Just before Christmas I reviewed their heart-shaped I ♡ My Lips Lipstick in Rising Pulse which I really loved, so I decided it was about time I tried another of their heart-shaped offerings. This is Goddess Of Love Triple Baked Highlighter and I’ve wanted it ever since I first saw it online, I love the fact that it’s heart-shaped! To be honest there’s not too much to say about it… other than I love it! It’s a hard-baked powder highlighter, really pale and shimmery. It gives the skin a really lovely glow and it blends nicely. You do need to be careful you don’t apply too much at once otherwise you could end up looking a bit shiny – it’s always easier to add more of a product than to remove some! I’ve been using my Bobbi Brown Face Blender brush to apply Goddess Of...

Lancome – Gloss In Love in Under The Spotlight

Lancome – Gloss In Love in Under The Spotlight

This Gloss In Love lipgloss was another Lancome sample that I got in my Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar, but as it’s such a popular product I wanted to review it and let my readers know what I thought of it. Under The Spotlight (number 385) is a raspberry pink with lots of shimmer and shine, but it’s not too bright. It’s probably not the sort of colour I would normally choose for myself (I usually stick to pale pinks and nude browns) but one of the reasons that I love trying out trial sizes and samples so much is that you end up having a go with things that you wouldn’t always try out and sometimes you find a real gem. You can clearly see the shimmer in the swatch image above, and this shimmer really adds to the glossy shine when it is on the lips. It applies to the lips easily using the felt applicator inside the lid, the pointed end is great for defining the top...

What I’m reading #1

What I’m reading #1

Don’t worry, I’m not going to post every time I read a book (I read a lot!) but I’ve just finished reading ‘The Last Summer’ by Judith Kinghorn and I loved it so much I wanted to recommend it. It’s not the type of book I would normally choose to read, but I picked it up for a 50p charity donation in a pub (of all places!) and thought I would give it a go. It’s an enthralling love story, set during the time of World War 1, between a young girl from a large country house and her housekeeper’s son. It’s a story about love between different classes and all the politics that went with that back then, and set in a time of incredible hardship and loss. It’s a war story that studies its effects on the women left behind at home – something that we don’t often think about when we think about war. I felt really connected with the main characters and there’s a fantastic revelation at...
