Living Nature – Sensitive Day Moisture

Living Nature – Sensitive Day Moisture

It’s been a while since I did a post about natural skincare, but it’s something that I’m really passionate about as I think it’s important we know exactly what ingredients we are putting onto our skin. If you’ve not heard of Living Nature before it was launched in 1987 in New Zealand. Their products contain no synthetics, use only 100% natural ingredients, preservatives and fragrances and are never tested on animals. Their full range of cosmetics and skincare is Certified Natural by BDIH Germany, and their policy is ‘if there is any doubt about the safety of an ingredient, we don’t use it’. I love their philosophy! They also harness a lot of New Zealand’s native botanicals like Manuka Oil, Hallo Clay and Kelp and use these within their products. I’ve been using new Sensitive Day Moisture cream for almost two weeks now, part of Living Nature’s new Sensitive range. It’s a perfectly pH balanced, gentle daytime moisturiser that contains Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Harakeke Flax Extract and Avocado Oil. The Harakeke...

Living Nature – Foundation

Living Nature – Foundation

This foundation* from New Zealand natural beauty brand Living Nature has won ‘Best Liquid Foundation’ in the latest edition of The Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible by Sarah Stacey and Josephine Fairley. This is a great achievement for a brand that is so little known here in the UK and I really hope it raises the profile of Living Nature as it is a brand that I really admire (I have recently reviewed their Luminous Pressed Powder, you can read that review here). All of Living Nature’s skincare and make-up products are made from 100% natural ingredients, and this foundation contains antimicrobial Manuka Oil, one of New Zealand’s unique botanicals which helps to protect your complexion making it a great choice for those with problem skin. I have been using this foundation for around a week now and I am really pleased with it. I generally use a Tinted Moisturiser as I can sometimes find that foundations are too thick and suffocate my skin, but as this Living Nature foundation...

Living Nature – Hydrating Toning Gel

Living Nature – Hydrating Toning Gel

You may have read my reviews of other Living Nature products on Beauty Best Friend, if so you may know that Living Nature is a certified natural skincare and cosmetic brand based in New Zealand and all of their products are made from 100% natural ingredients. I think it’s really important to know what we are actually putting onto and into our skin. I was recently offered the chance to try out this Hydrating Toning Gel* from Living Nature. I usually use a liquid toner from Organic Surge so this toning gel was something a bit different. Developed for oily and problematic skin, the aim of this toning gel is to restore the natural pH levels of the skin, and to help prevent oil overproduction, whilst naturally firming and toning the skin. It is a clear gel with a sweet floral scent and it should be applied after cleansing in both the morning and the evening. I wasn’t sure whether to apply it with my fingers or a cotton...

Living Nature – Thickening Mascara in Jet Black

Living Nature – Thickening Mascara in Jet Black

I noticed the other day that I haven’t done many mascara reviews recently, so today I am reviewing Thickening Mascara in Jet Black* from natural cosmetics experts Living Nature. Living Nature is a New Zealand beauty brand that uses only 100% natural ingredients, preservatives and fragrances in all of its products. You may have already read my review of their Precious pink lipstick, you can read that here if you missed it. The mascara brush is nothing fancy, just a regular traditional round brush with lots of bristles. The mascara itself is quite thick, and contains Halloysite clay to help thicken lashes, and prevent clumps. I do find it a little difficult to get plenty of mascara on the brush, and have to pump the brush in and out of the tube to get a good coating of the mascara on it (this can lead to the product drying out). Because of this it is easiest with this product to apply lots of thin coats and build up the...
