My Little Box – July 2015

My Little Box – July 2015

Apologies, once again the My Little Box review is a bit late, I’ve been experimenting with my new DSLR camera and it took me a while to learn how to edit the images. Sadly the last couple of boxes have been disappointing for me, but I love this one, the theme is Road Trip…. think freedom, holidays and easy-to-use products! If you’ve never heard of My Little Box it’s a quirky monthly beauty box that offers something a bit different, including their own range of make-up ‘My Little Beauty’, a proper readable mini magazine in each box, plus exciting little non-beauty extras – past examples have included jewellery, stationery and T-shirts. So, what was inside My Little Road Trip Box in July….? I’ll start with the beauty products as these were my favourite items inside July’s box. There was a full size Essie nail polish in ‘Time For Me Time’, it’s a very pale pink and I painted this onto my nails within about half an hour of receiving the...

Pukka Ayurveda – Radiance Serum

Pukka Ayurveda – Radiance Serum

I received this little tube of Radiance Serum from Pukka Ayurveda in my July Glossybox, but it’s taken me a little while to get round to my review. Now before I go any further, I have just read that Pukka is discontinuing its Ayurveda skincare line, so if you’re a fan of their products stock up now! I wonder if Glossybox knew that this product would soon be discontinued when they supplied it in their July box? This revitalising Radiance Serum contains Aloe Vera and Manuka Honey to soothe and refresh the skin, and it is suitable for all skin types. Radiance Serum is a very runny, golden brown sticky lotion with a rather herby fragrance. You apply the serum to your face before your regular moisturiser, I have been applying this product at bedtime. Unlike other serums that I have tried this one makes my skin feel tight after applying, however it is not drying – when I wake up in the morning my skin feels like it...

Coola – Mineral Sunscreen Rose Essence Tinted Moisturiser SPF20

Coola – Mineral Sunscreen Rose Essence Tinted Moisturiser SPF20

This Coola Mineral Sunscreen Rose Essence Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 was in my July Glossybox. I was rather disappointed with the small 7ml size tube as I don’t really feel it is enough to get a good feel for the product, but given the recent sunny weather and the fact that I always like to protect my face from the sun this was a great product for me. If you haven’t heard of Coola before they are an innovative sun protection brand whose products are 97% certified organic and manufactured using solar power. Their mineral sunscreens have a Titanium Dioxide based formula which is perfect for those who are sensitive to Zinc which is found in many off-the-shelf suncreams. This Tinted Moisturiser is fairly thin and liquid-y, making it easy to apply and blend on the skin. It comes out of the tube rather orange, but once it is applied to the skin it just gives a very fine coverage with a light hint of colour – fine for...

Glossybox – July 2013

Glossybox – July 2013

Here it is! My July Glossybox! The theme of this one is Seaside Splash, and they are all products suitable for a seaside getaway. I’m not too keen on the turquoise and orange seaside-themed box, it’s not as pretty as the usual Glossyboxes, but there is a good selection of products inside – albeit small ones! Here is what I got in my July Glossybox… My first and favourite product is a full-size Ciate Paint Pots nail varnish in a lovely nude pinky-beige colour called Pocket Money which retails at around £9. I’ve never tried Ciate products before although I have been reading a lot about them recently, and I just love the little bow on the front which makes this bottle stand out from other nail paints. Looks like it would make a perfect base colour for nail art too! The second product is a full-size 100ml Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz from Anatomicals which retails at £6. I’ve never tried a face spritz before but it’s definitely the...
