Look after yourself with Kneipp

Look after yourself with Kneipp

I’m a real advocate of natural skincare and products that use herbs and organic ingredients as I believe that they’re better for your skin than artificial chemicals. I first came across Kneipp in Summer last year when I tried out their Stress Free Herbal Bath. Kneipp is a US brand, set up by naturopath Sebastian Kneipp in 1891 and all of their products are based around natural oils. I was recently sent a selection of their products to try out, this included Balancing Lavender Herbal Bath* which I’ve wanted to try for ages, and two of the new Kneipp Sparkling Bath Tablets*. This is a mini travel size 20ml bottle of the beautiful relaxing Balancing Herbal Bath, it contains Lavender Essential Oil and smells beautiful! You just pour it under running water and let it infuse into your bath before getting in for a soak. It’s quite a dark blue/purple colour and will colour your bath too, but don’t worry it doesn’t dye the skin! A small 20ml bottle like...

Tiny Tea Teatox

Tiny Tea Teatox

Tea detoxes seem to be all the rage at the moment, so back in July I treated myself to a 28 day Tiny Tea Teatox from Your Tea. The idea of the Teatox is that the balanced herbal blend of tea will nourish and cleanse the digestive system, allowing it to replenish and restore back to its natural state. The cleanse can assist with reducing weight, easing bloating, increasing digestion functionality, improving skin clarity, increasing energy levels and alleviate issues associated with food intolerances – all problems that I’ve had at some point or another. The tea formula is based on Chinese medicinal principles, and Tiny Tea is the only herbal cleanse on the market that does not produce a laxative effect. So how does it work – well, the box contains 84 individually wrapped teabags and you drink 3 per day, 30 minutes before or after meals but not in an evening. I got into a routine with my Teatox, drinking one cup as soon as I got...

Teatulia – Lemongrass Herbal Infusion

Teatulia – Lemongrass Herbal Infusion

For most of my life I’ve not really been a tea-drinker, but I’ve been drinking more and more recently and I particularly enjoy fruit infusions as I find them very refreshing and they’re a tasty alternative to water. I was given a sample of Teatulia Lemongrass Herbal Infusion* to try, Teatulia is a range of organic single garden teas grown in a single USDA-certified organic garden in northern Bangladesh. The Lemongrass tea is made just the same as you would make regular tea, place the teabag in a cup of hot water then leave for 4-5 minutes while the delicate flavours infuse. The teabags are really good quality and they expand nicely to let the contents circulate and release their flavour. Then just remove the teabag and enjoy! I usually add a drop of cold water to mine just so that it’s not too hot and I can start drinking it straight away. This Lemongrass Herbal Infusion is caffeine-free and has a nice subtle refreshing lemon taste that is...

Be stress free with Kneipp

Be stress free with Kneipp

I love a nice hot bath to help me unwind – it has to be surrounded with lots of candles and with some relaxing music on. I don’t usually use bubble bath as I find it can dry my skin out, but I first received this Kneipp Stress Free Herbal Bath in my Dream Box in May 2014 (a collaboration beauty box from British Beauty Blogger and Latest In Beauty) and as it’s a natural product and doesn’t contain any soap I thought I would give it a go. Kneipp is a US brand, set up by naturopath Sebastian Kneipp in 1891. All of the products are based around natural oils and there are a fair few of these Herbal Bath products all containing different oils with different benefits. You don’t need to add very much of the Stress Free Herbal Bath oil to the bath, about one capful should do it. My first thought was that the colour is extremely vibrant and orange – you wouldn’t want to...
