New Summer products from Beauty Crowd

New Summer products from Beauty Crowd

If you’ve not heard of Beauty Crowd before it’s an online beauty retailer with a difference – not only do they sell hand-picked beauty brands that are a little bit unique, they also provide a beauty community with a blog, look book of the latest trends and videos showing hints and tips on how to use their products. I’d never heard of either of the two brands before that I was sent to try out, Nicka K or Absolute, but I think it’s great that Beauty Crowd are offering something that you can’t get from the other big online beauty retailers. So how did I get on with my products? Nicka K Colorluxe Powder Blush – there are six shades of powder blush available, I’ve been using the Rose shade – it’s a bright rosy pink colour. The bottom of the pot holds the loose powder blush, then you unscrew the lid to reveal a soft velvety puff that you use to dab the blush directly onto your cheek. I...

Organic Surge – Orange Flower Toner

Organic Surge – Orange Flower Toner

I think it’s really important that we know what we are putting on our skin, and I am more and more often choosing natural and organic skincare products. This is a fairly simple product, it is a cooling, refreshing pale orange coloured liquid toner with a lovely subtle Neroli orangey scent, it feels cooling on the skin and leaves it feeling really clean and fresh. It contains organic orange flower water which is renowned for its healing and regenerating properties. I apply Orange Flower Toner every night with a cotton wool pad after cleansing to help refresh my skin and remove every last trace of cleanser. After use my skin feels nice and cool,...

Paul & Joe – Floral Make-Up Bag

Paul & Joe – Floral Make-Up Bag

This Floral Make-up Bag from Paul & Joe truly is a thing of beauty! I first saw it reviewed on one of my favourite blogs, Girl With MakeUp, and I had to have one! It’s so pretty with an aqua and lilac floral fabric and the Paul & Joe logo is printed on the front. “What’s so special about it?” I hear you ask. Well, apart from being really pretty it has lots of useful pockets and compartments to help keep make-up and toiletries well organised, and the really clever part about it is that it works a little bit like a Filofax with 2 removable pouches that attach to metal rings, a bit like a ring binder. The image above clearly shows the 2 removable pouches – one is a clear mesh so you can see what is inside it, the other matches the outside of the make-up bag in the cute aqua and lilac floral fabric. Not only does this beautiful bag house the 2 removable pouches,...
