Crabtree & Evelyn – Citron Moisturising Hand Therapy

Crabtree & Evelyn – Citron Moisturising Hand Therapy

Just a really quick review today of Citron Moisturising Hand Therapy from Crabtree & Evelyn. Last Spring I attended a Garden Celebration blogger event at my local Crabtree & Evelyn store in York. I was pleasantly surprised with their products and have since tried out a few, including this rich hand cream. Crabtree & Evelyn Moisturising Hand Therapy is free of parabens, lauryl sulfates, mineral oil, and propylene glycol and it improves the skin’s barrier function to help reduce moisture loss. Fragranced with vibrant lemon, fresh coriander and a touch of sweet honey it has a fresh Spring-like scent. I’ve been using this for a couple of months now and it’s perfect to protect the hands during cold weather. It’s amazing on cuticles too – just massage a tiny smudge into the nails after a manicure. Crabtree & Evelyn – Nail Lacquer in Wisteria

OK, so did anyone know that Crabtree & Evelyn did nail polish? Wisteria is a two-tone shade that looks dark blue in some lights and purple in others and it has a subtle silver shimmer to it. It dries with a bit of a dull finish and maybe looks a little old fashioned when compared to today’s current trend for glossy gel finishes, but you could add a couple of coats of clear polish over the top if you want more of a glossy shine. The brush is quite long and thin so you have to apply the polish...

Crabtree & Evelyn – Garden Celebration Blogger Event, York

Crabtree & Evelyn – Garden Celebration Blogger Event, York

I was lucky enough to attend the Garden Celebration blogger event held at the Crabtree & Evelyn store in York last Thursday evening. The event was being held to celebrate the new garden-inspired bodycare ranges and the theme was all things afternoon tea! We were welcomed with fizz, fruit juice or one of Crabtree & Evelyn’s own fruit tea blends and invited to have a luxurious hand treatment. I had a hand scrub using Rosewater Hand Recovery Scrub and my hands were then moisturised and massaged using the matching Rosewater Hand Therapy moisturiser. I love the fragrance of rose, and these products smell really natural, not over-sweet like you sometimes get with synthetic rose fragrances. My hands were left smelling lovely and fragrant for the rest of the evening! After this I had a look round at all of the bodycare products that Crabtree & Evelyn had to offer. I’d been under the impression that the brand was a bit ‘old ladyish’ (sorry Crabtree & Evelyn!), but no more! I...
