Bioderma – Sebium Masque

I had read some great reviews of Sebium Masque* from Bioderma, so when I was offered the opportunity to review it I jumped at the chance. Sebium Masque is a ‘sebo-regulating purifying mask’ for combination and oily skin, in other words it aims to control the amount of sebum and oil that your skin produces which in turn helps to reduce breakouts. It is paraben free and hypoallergenic, and I really like the packaging as I feel that it looks quite clinical as many French skincare brands do. The mask is white and creamy with a strange powdery texture. It has a lovely refreshing cucumber scent and it’s really pleasant to use. You do need to apply quite a thick layer of the mask to your skin (it is a bit tricky to apply it thickly and evenly given its powdery texture) and then it dries although not too hard. Garnier – Moisture Match

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to receive 3 small samples of Garnier’s Moisture Match moisturisers, a new range of moisturisers customised to meet specific skin needs. Basically Garnier have created five new colour coded moisturisers, each one with different benefits aimed at a different skin type. I had requested the samples from Garnier’s website, and after answering a few questions about my skin they sent me the 3 samples which they thought would be best for my skin type (combination): Shine Be Gone for oily to combination skin – Shine Be Gone, enriched with green tea extract, is oil free and helps to reduce the appearance of shine. It comes in a green tube and is a very pale mint green lotion with a light, fresh cucumber-y smell. It has a strange powdery texture, feels cooling and refreshing on the skin, and my face didn’t feel oily after applying which is good.
