e.l.f. – Shimmering Facial Whip in Pink Lemonade

e.l.f. – Shimmering Facial Whip in Pink Lemonade

Another great value product from New York budget make-up brand e.l.f. (stands for Eyes Lips Face) today, this is Shimmering Facial Whip in Pink Lemonade. I do have to say it is a VERY little tube, just 9.5g! It comes in a cardboard blister pack (pictured below) which I kind of like, it gives it an accessible ‘available to everyone’ kind of feel. Shimmering Facial Whip is a fairly thick creamy lotion in a dark pink pearlised colour, and it is easy to squeeze just the right amount out of the nozzle on the little tube. This product can be used as a highlighter on eyes, lips or cheeks so is a true multi-tasking product. Pink Lemonade is VERY pearlised so you only need a tiny amount to get a nice shimmer, and be sure to blend it really well particularly if using it on your cheeks so you don’t just end up with pearlised rosy round patches! Benefit – Girl Meets Pearl

Benefit – Girl Meets Pearl

Benefit decsribes Girl Meets Pearl as ‘liquid pearl for the face’, it’s basically a liquid highlighter that can be used on cheeks or all over the face for a dewy glow. I love Benefit products, their packaging and product names are really quirky and they develop such innovative products, not to mention their amazing handbag-sized boxed collections of their best-sellers. Girl Meets Pearl can be worn on its own to give a delicate luminous pearlessence, or it can be worn over make-up for a subtle dewy glow. To dispense the product just remove the lid then twist the end of the tube and the product comes up through the little holes at the end of tube – then pat it gently onto your skin with your fingers. You should only dispense a little at a time as less is most definitely more with this product – you don’t want to end up with a face like a shiny oil slick! I like to wear Girl Meets Pearl over my...

MUA Blusher – Shade 1

MUA Blusher – Shade 1

You may have read my recent glowing review of MUA Lipstick in ‘Shade 5′, whereby I was pleasantly surprised how great a lipstick costing just £1 can be. Prior to this I had always been a bit of a beauty snob and thought that you get what you pay for, but evidently this isn’t true any more with more and more great budget beauty brands being launched. So it is time for a review of another MUA (Makeup Academy) product, this time it is their blusher in Shade 1 which also costs just £1. MUA Blusher in Shade 1 is a pinky peach coloured pressed powder blusher with just a hint of golden shimmer in a small rectangular compact. I don’t normally go for peach or orange based blushers, usually sticking to more bluey-pinks, but I thought it would be worth trying this out for the Summer months to wear when I have a tan (yes, I know I’m being rather hopeful!). I applied the blusher to my cheekbones using a small blusher brush – as...
