Botanicals – Hydrating Mist With Rose & Camellia

Botanicals – Hydrating Mist With Rose & Camellia

Botanicals is one of my favourite skincare brands and I have previously reviewed a few of their products including Radiance Serum and Cleansing Melt. All of Botanicals’ skincare products are natural and organic, plus they aren’t tested on animals and are suitable for vegans. It quite often scares me when I read through the list of ingredients on many skincare products to see all the chemicals that are included and I imagine what these could be doing to my body (many of the chemicals included within regular products are preservatives, colourings and fragrances that don’t add any benefit to our skin). So I find it really refreshing and reassuring when I read the list of ingredients on a Botanicals product and I recognise so many of them as being natural. Botanicals – Cleansing Melt

Botanicals – Cleansing Melt

I recently reviewed Nourishing Face Balm from Botanicals and it was one of my favourite natural moisturising products that I’d tried this year. I have since been asked to try out Cleansing Melt from the same Rose & Camellia range, and I’ve been using it for the past week. To use just melt a pea-sized blob in your hands then massage it gently all over the face, before removing with a warm damp facecloth. It does feel quite thick and cloying while the product is on the skin, but it instantly melts all make-up including...

Clarins – Joli Rouge Lipstick in Pink Camellia

Clarins – Joli Rouge Lipstick in Pink Camellia

This is the second Joli Rouge lipstick from Clarins that I have tested, this one is Pink Camellia*. I am a big fan of Clarins skincare products, but I have only recently started to try out their make-up range.  My first impression is that Clarins keep it quite safe with predictable, but very wearable, shades and the quality of their make-up products is good. The Joli Rouge lipstick range contains ingredients that help plump and hydrate for full, soft and supple lips, this lipstick has a lovely creamy consistency and applies really nicely both direct from the tube and with a lipbrush. It has a feint fruity strawberry scent which is really nice. Pink Camellia is a dark raspberry pink colour but the texture is lovely and buttery and sheer, so it is very wearable and doesn’t look too bright on the lips. The swatch image above clearly shows how glossy Pink Camellia is. I just love the sophisticated shiny silver bullet tubes too, they look really glamorous (they’re...
