Luxury probiotic skincare that really works, from Aurelia

Luxury probiotic skincare that really works, from Aurelia

You’d be forgiven if you haven’t heard of Aurelia Probiotic Skincare before, I only heard of them a few months back and I’ve been reading some really good reviews of their products. Their philosophy is all around using ethically sourced 100% BioOrganic botanical formulations to prevent skin ageing, and their products are free from a number of ingredients that we are starting to think of as potentially harmful – including synthetic fragrances, colorants, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, sulphates, propylene glycol and phthalates. Aurelia Probiotic Skincare is also cruelty free and carries the ‘Leaping Bunny’ mark. I was sent a boxful of goodies from Aurelia to try out and the first thing that struck me was their packaging, it felt like unwrapping a really special gift wrapped in black tissue paper, tied with ribbon and nestled inside a black gift box. I was sent a full size of the popular Refine & Polish Miracle Balm, plus a sample of 3 other products that were housed inside little dark bottles and tied...

Skinade – Anti-Ageing Skincare Drink

Skinade – Anti-Ageing Skincare Drink

Skinade is an anti-ageing skincare drink, made in Britain, that contains collagen (amongst other ingredients) – collagen is a protein that naturally occurs in the body, it is responsible for skin support, firmness, elasticity, hydration, and the constant production of new skin cells. However as we grow older our body loses collagen, causing skin ageing which results in wrinkles, dry skin and fine lines. So, what were the results….. I had imagined that Skinade would be colourless and maybe a bit unpleasant or sour, however it’s an orange coloured drink and it has a pleasant peach flavour… although after drinking it for a couple of weeks the flavour does get a bit cloying. I would recommend keeping the drink in the fridge, as it does...

Clarins – Rouge Eclat Lipstick in Pink Magnolia

Clarins – Rouge Eclat Lipstick in Pink Magnolia

I have another lipstick review for you today, this one is Rouge Eclat in Pink Magnolia* from Clarins. Rouge Eclat is Clarins’ first age-defying lipstick range containing their Nutri-Youth Complex which protects lips against dehydration and boosts collagen, while Vitamin E protects against free radicals. Pink Magnolia is one of the new shades of Rouge Eclat lipstick – there are now 20 to choose from mainly in varying shades of pink and brown. Pink Magnolia is what I describe as a ‘pinky/reddy/brown’ shade! It’s a dark reddy pink, with brown undertones. It looks more red on the swatch image above, but has more of a pink shade on the lips. Rouge Eclat lipsticks feel really lovely and smooth on the lips, buttery and velvety, very moisturising. It stays that way for hours after you’ve applied it too, it doesn’t dry the lips out or sink into the creases and lines on the lips so I can see it being very good for mature lips. It’s a lovely shade if...
