Rimmel London – 60 Seconds Nail Polish Lucky Lilac

Lucky Lilac (670) is part of Rimmel’s 60 Seconds fast-drying nail polish collection, it’s a bright pinky-fuchsia shade that’s perfect for Summer. It looks quite glossy when it’s first dried but after a day or two it starts to look a bit duller, although you could add a coat or two of clear top coat for a glossy finish.
I really like this bright shade, although I do think purple nails could be considered a bit old-fashioned these days now there are so many other unusual colours available.
The nail polish brush is nice and wide, a bit like you get with an Essie polish, so you can quickly apply the colour to each nail with only 2 or 3 strokes. It lives up to its 60 Seconds name too and dries fairly quickly, I applied two coats of Lucky Lilac just before I got in the car and after driving for about five minutes it had completely dried.
The colour is quite opaque, 2 coats is adequate to completely cover each nail, although it does show any imperfections or ridges through the polish so make sure you have buffed your nails first or applied a good thick base coat to smooth out each nail bed.
UPDATE 19th August 2017 – Rimmel Lucky Lilac is no longer available, the closest match I can find is Orly Nail Polish in La Vida Loca, priced at £11.99 from Superdrug.
