Paul & Joe Beaute – Cheek Color & Compact Case
I do love make-up that looks beautiful in its packaging, and there is no brand more pretty that Paul & Joe Beaute. Their limited edition feline and floral packaging is second to none with many pieces being so beautiful that you just want to admire them and almost don’t want to use them.
A couple of weeks ago I treated myself to Cheek Color 10 (Ombrage) and the Spring 2014 Collection Kitten Print Compact Case (number 002).
Shade 10 was the most natural of the Cheek Colors that I could find, it is a pressed powder blusher that consists of a large rose-pink section and a thinner tan colour strip. I love the fact that the pressed powder has the Paul & Joe ‘PJ’ logo imprinted into it, I think it makes it looks really classy.
You can see the Cheek Color shades really clearly from the close-up image above. The tan strip of colour has a feint shimmer to it, you can see the glittery particles shining. The rose-pink section of the powder has more of a matt finish.
This Cheek Color in Ombrage from Paul & Joe Beaute reminds me a bit of Benefit’s Sugarbomb powder. Both of the shades look fairly natural, and I would say they are both great for a pale skin. You can either wear them separately or blend them together.
The powder contains Jojoba Oil and White Lily Extract to hydrate the skin.
Being a cat lover I couldn’t resist this Kitten Print Compact Case when I saw it! It is a limited edition print and is part of the Paul & Joe Beaute Spring 2014 Collection. I like the idea of the Paul & Joe Beaute ‘mix and match’ system, you buy your cases and your make-up separately then put them together to make your own collection of designer make-up.
The image above shows how the Compact Case looks when the Cheek Color has been slotted into it. They fit together really easily and one is magnetised to the other so that it won’t fall out, but they’re really easy to take apart too.
Paul & Joe’s Eye Color Trios will also fit inside this Compact Case too.
How cute is this kitten print! I think it has a real vintage feel to it. It is currently available in 2 other limited edition floral prints too.
The only downside to the Paul & Joe Beaute compact cases is that they are made from a toughened cardboard (a bit like some of Benefit’s packaging) so I would be worried about just throwing this case in my handbag or make-up bag in case it gets scratched or if something leaked onto it. Paul & Joe Beaute make-up is definitely destined to be shown off on the dressing table rather than carried about with you every day.
I love this Cheek Color in Ombrage and Kitten Print Compact Case from Paul & Joe Beaute. The case is just so cute and the pressed powder blush is such a flattering and neutral colour that it could be worn by anyone. I love to browse the Paul & Joe make-up collections on ASOS and Beauty Bay and I will definitely be adding to my collection again soon, I have my eye on a sheer lipstick and limited edition lipstick case!
