Monu Illuminating Primer SPF 15 Review

I was really impressed with the last Monu skincare product that I tried out, so I was really pleased to see this little sample of Illuminating Primer SPF 15 in October’s Glossybox.

Monu is an ethical skincare brand, they are against animal testing and their products contain no synthetic perfumes or colours. This Illuminating Primer SPF 15 contains zinc oxide for sun protection, plus antioxidant vitamin E, and is paraben free.

This primer can be worn alone as a day moisturiser, or under make-up as a primer. It contains illuminating, light reflecting particles to give the face a radiant and soft-focus finish.

Monu Illuminating Primer SPF 15 Sample

Monu Illuminating Primer SPF 15 is a fairly light cream with a gentle plant-y scent. It does need to be massaged in to the skin very well otherwise your face may appear slightly white until the lotion has completely sunk in, but I do really like it. I love that it contains SPF 15 and helps protect against UV damage as I never go out of the house during daylight hours without SPF on my face. I have found that Illuminating Primer SPF 15 gives my skin a really nice dewy glow but without making it look greasy, my skin still feels matte, and it helps make-up ‘grip’ onto the skin. Another really great product from Monu!

Illuminating Primer SPF 15 is priced at £24.95 for 50ml and is available from Monushop, and you can use code GLOSSY1 at checkout to get 10% off all Monu products until 11th November.

  1. Hello 🙂

I never heard of this brand before but this product sounds very good.I don’t usually use a face primer but I like the “illuminating” aspect of it!
