Over the past year or so I’ve been trying to replace all of my everyday skincare and bodycare products with those that are more natural, choosing organic where I can. One area where I’ve struggled a bit is with moisturiser that contains an SPF, I always try to wear an SPF on my face, even in Winter. I have feint dark pigment marks around my eyes (these got worse when I was pregnant but have thankfully calmed down a lot now) and these get much darker when I’ve been in natural daylight.

My old favourite moisturiser was Clarins HydraQuench Lotion which I reviewed back in 2013 and as much as it really suited my combination skin I felt it was time to look for something a bit more natural. It took quite a bit of searching to find something that I felt I was happy to try out, as there doesn’t seem to be a lot of natural moisturisers with SPF out there to choose from.

Green People Day Solution Cream SPF15 With Rose

Enter Green People Day Solution Cream SPF15. Founded in 1997 Green People is a UK natural and organic skincare brand that promises to never use sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, alcohol or synthetic fragrances or colourants in their products, and to never test on animals.

Green People Day Solution Cream SPF15 is 85.1% organic (which may be as good as you’re going to get with a sun protection product just at the moment). The ingredients include aloe vera, chamomile and green tea which protect against free radicals and titanium dioxide which reflects and absorbs the UV rays to reduce the risk of burning.

Green People Day Solution Cream SPF15 Review

The moisturiser is a thick white cream, I was a bit worried at first that it would be a bit rich for my combination skin as my nose and chin do get quite oily, but it’s absolutely fine. Half a pump from the dispenser is about enough to cover my face and it leaves my skin with quite a matte non-sticky feeling which is a perfect base for my make-up and I’ve found that Green People Day Solution Cream SPF15 acts like a primer too so I don’t need to apply a separate one!

The only downside to this product is that you can’t tell when you’re running out, so I’ve had to make sure I’ve always got a spare one in the cupboard for when I run out – otherwise I panic!

Overall this is a great organic, vegan and cruelty free moisturiser from a fantastic British skincare brand and I can see it being a staple in my bathroom cabinet for a long time to come. Green People also donate 10% of their net profits to charity, what an amazing idea!

Day Solution Cream SPF15 is priced at £18 for 50ml, from Green People, plus they offer FREE UK DELIVERY on all orders.
