Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter Golden Lights Review

Highlighters have been my favourite product of 2016, and if there’s one product that I’ve wanted to try over all the rest it’s Vivid Baked Highlighter from Makeup Revolution. Makeup Revolution is the budget beauty brand that really made a splash when it was introduced a couple of years ago, and I’ve read so many amazing reviews of their pressed powder highlighter that costs just £3 that I couldn’t resist trying it.

This is a real beauty bloggers favourite product, I haven’t met anyone that hasn’t liked it!

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter Golden Lights

There are 4 shades in the Vivid Baked Highlighter range, I opted for Golden Lights. It’s a multi-use baked highlighting powder in white lustre with a golden shimmer. Of course you can use it to light up the cheekbones, but it’s also great for using as an eyeshadow (just smudge a tad under the brow arch using the ring finger), highlighting collarbones or shoulders in Summer, dusting over the décolleté area or using sparingly for contouring to highlight temples, cheekbones, the tip of the nose and chin. A clever trick that I like to use it for is to highlight the cupid’s bow above the top lip, just dabbing a tiny hint of powder above the top lip with my finger, it really accentuates the curve of the lips.

I always apply it with the best highlighting brush I’ve ever come across, the F35 Tapered Highlighter Brush from Sigma. It’s lovely and soft and the small tapered head allows you to carefully place the powder exactly where you want it.

There’s not too much to say about Vivid Baked Highlighter really, other than I LOVE IT! It suits any skintone and you can apply it lightly for a subtle shimmer or build up the powder for a real glow. In my opinion it’s definitely the best budget highlighter around, and given that it’s quite often out of stock both online and in stores I’d say everyone else agrees! Plus it costs just £3 – that’s less than a cup of fancy coffee!

I’ve added the other 3 shades of Vivid Baked Highlighter to my shopping list, for just £3 each I can’t afford not to!

At the time of writing Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights is in stock at Superdrug for just £3 – but don’t worry if it’s out of stock when you have a look, they seem to replenish their stocks fairly quickly.

If you’re in the USA this fab highlighter is available at Ulta Beauty at just $6.
