Coola – Mineral Sunscreen Rose Essence Tinted Moisturiser SPF20

Coola Mineral Sunscreen Rose Essence Tinted Moisturiser SPF20

This Mineral Sunscreen Rose Essence Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 was in my July Glossybox. I was rather disappointed with the small 7ml size tube as I don’t really feel it is enough to get a good feel for the product, but given the recent sunny weather and the fact that I always like to protect my face from the sun this was a great product for me.

If you haven’t heard of Coola before they are an innovative sun protection brand whose products are 97% certified organic and manufactured using solar power. Their mineral sunscreens have a Titanium Dioxide based formula which is perfect for those who are sensitive to Zinc which is found in many off-the-shelf suncreams.

This Tinted Moisturiser is fairly thin and liquid-y, making it easy to apply and blend on the skin. It comes out of the (tiny) tube rather orange, but once it is applied to the skin it just gives a very fine coverage with a light hint of colour – fine for most skintones apart from the very pale. It lasts all day too and feels light on the skin. It has rose essence included within the ingredients (and in its name) but I can’t really smell it, although it does come in an unscented variety too if you prefer your cosmetics without a scent.

Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skins, this Mineral Sunscreen Rose Essence Tinted Moisturiser has SPF20 to protect your skin from the sun’s rays. It is really important to wear a SPF on your face during the day in all weathers, even in the UK. It also contains antioxidants and other anti-aging plant-based ingredients, and helps to reduce redness and irritation. It is also water resistant for up to 40 minutes so is perfect for wearing in the pool and during sports.

Overall this is a great multi-tasking product – sun protection, tinted moisturiser, anti-aging… the list goes on. If you have good skin and are looking for a tinted moisturiser with a very light coverage and protection from the sun then this is a perfect choice for you. My first experience with Coola has been a good, if albeit brief, one! Come on Glossybox, give us better sized samples!

Coola is not yet readily available in the UK, but I have found it priced at £26.96 for 1.7oz from Look Fantastic and priced at £29.99 from Amazon.

  1. I got this in my ipsy bag last month just not the tinted one :( But it still love it and it’s great!

    • I haven’t tried the non-tinted one yet, but I might have to add it to my shopping list! xx

  2. That’s a nice size sample luckily it wasn’t In a foil pack…

    • I agree, at least it wasn’t just a sachet! The tube is cute, it’s only 7ml though so would have liked a slightly bigger product from the Glossybox. xx
